The Porsche Club Motorsport Championship has been running for the past two decades, providing close, competitive, but friendly racing for experienced and novice drivers alike, with the Club itself in operation for some 50 years.
The championship features double-header meetings across the United Kingdom, including at world-famous venues Silverstone, Brands Hatch, and Donington Park, with a 20-minute qualifying session followed by two 25-minute races, all held on the same day, helping keep costs as low as possible.
It is open to competitors in recent production model Porsches, using standard engines, suspension units and gearboxes, based on a power to weight formula to allow for competitive racing between model types.
There are two classes in the Porsche Club Motorsport Championship: Class One for models including the 997 C2S, 996 Carrera, and Cayman 3.4, while Class Two is for cars such as the Boxster 3.2.
Previously running the popular Restoracing series for the 986 Boxster, the Club now also runs the Boxster Cup, providing an exciting opportunity to experience Porsche motorsport at a level that is competitive, accessible, and fun. Drivers compete on Pirelli road tyres, rather than slicks, making it the perfect series for beginners to try their hand at Porsche racing.
There is a hospitality marquee at every race meeting providing breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and space for competitors to relax and recount stories from the race with one another.
Race Drive Motorsport enters cars across both series, helping drivers move up the ranks and challenge themselves at the highest levels possible, all in a fun, productive, and learning environment. To find out more about opportunities to compete with the team, contact us today.
