Eden Race Drive is delighted to announce that current Porsche Carrera Cup GB Rookie Champion Harry Foster will join the team for the 2024 season.
The 22-year-old secured the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB title in 2022, having taken eight wins, including six in the final seven races. Last season he stepped up to the Carrera Cup and improved throughout the year, securing the Rookie title in the final race.
Prior to that Harry spent time in karting but stepped away from racing as a 14-year-old, choosing to focus on his education. He comes from a motorsport family, with Father Nick having competed in the BTCC, while brother Louis is a front runner in Indy NXT.
He is also part of the BRDC Rising Stars programme, which identifies the best and brightest British racing talents under the age of 24, helping them to progress in their career.
Harry joins Oliver White and Josh Malin in Eden Race Drive’s Porsche Carrera Cup GB line-up, with further exciting announcements to be made in due course, ahead of the opening races of the season at Donington Park over the weekend of April 27/28.
Harry Foster
“This season will be really good. I’ve had some good conversations with Dino and with the people involved with Eden Race Drive. We will be up there as it’s so well set up, which means I am looking forward to it. It’s been quite a late deal but once I spoke to Dino, I was keen to get something sorted, so I have to thank Pure PPS, a car detailing company, for their support in helping get me on the grid this season.
“There are people with good experience in the team, and all the drivers are quick, which will be good for everyone. With Ollie White and Josh Malin in the team, it’s valuable having their experience and being able to learn from what they do, to become a bit more well-rounded as a driver.
“I’m coming into the season with a much better idea of what needs to be done, which means I can hit the ground running. I’m really looking forward to racing at Croft. It was quick in the Cayman, so I really want to do that in the Cup car, though I might regret saying that!”
Dino Zamparelli, Team Manager
“We are delighted to welcome Harry to Eden Race Drive for the 2024 campaign. He has developed really quickly since he started racing Porsches, proven by his winning two championship titles in two seasons. He’s a great addition to our line-up and we’re looking forward to working with him throughout the season.”
