Eden Race Drive is delighted to announce that it will join the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid for the 2024 season, with Pro-Am title hopeful Oliver White the first driver to be confirmed in a planned three car entry for the team.
It will be a second full campaign for Oliver, who made his debut in 2022, returning for a partial season last time out, after business needs kept him off track during the first half of the year. In his eight races, he took a Pro-Am podium at Donington Park and claimed victories in the final two races at Brands Hatch to finish the season in strong form.
Eden Race Drive was formed by professional Racing Driver and Coach Dino Zamparelli, who is no stranger to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB, having been runner up for three seasons in a row, recording 12 victories and 37 total podium finishes. He has channelled this knowledge and experience into becoming an accomplished coach, helping amateur and novice drivers achieve success on track.
In 2023 the team competed in the Porsche Club series, including in previous generation 911 GT3 Cup machinery, while Dino and Oliver’s working relationship has grown since Oliver’s first season in Carrera Cup in 2022.
The 2024 Porsche Carrera Cup GB begins at Donington Park over the weekend of April 27/28, taking in 16 races over eight meetings across the country, coming to a close at Brands Hatch in October.
Oliver White
“It’s great to be back in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB as it’s a great championship. The plan is to race in the Pro-Am class and challenge for the title, which won’t be easy as there are lots of good drivers as always, but I’ll give it my best shot.
“I got on well with Dino in my first season in the series. He’s very capable, he’s been around the Carrera Cup for a long time, and he’s got a really good group of people behind him. A lot of them have experience in the series, so I think the combined experience in the team mean it’s ideally placed to make it a success.”
“I wasn’t able to do the full campaign last year as my brother broke his leg. He’s one of the partners on our farm and we were flooded with work, so I’d like to say a massive thank you to my family and sponsors for helping me get back on the grid this season.”
Dino Zamparelli, Team Manager
“We’re really excited to be joining the Porsche Carrera Cup GB grid this season as it’s a series I and the rest of the team enjoy. It’s great to be able to confirm Oliver is joining us as he will be one to watch in the Pro-Am championship battle, so we’re looking forward to giving him the tools to reach his potential.
“We’ve lined up a brilliant group of experienced team personnel, so we’ll be on the attack from the first official session of the season. We’ve had good interest from other drivers who would like to compete with Eden Race Drive, so we’re optimistic about having a great year.”
